Supplemental Travel Tryouts Announced

The Hounds travel teams will be hosting supplemental tryouts. If you have already received an offer letter to join the team, you are still invited to attend the supplemental tryout at no cost. If you attended the tryouts, but weren’t offered a letter to join the team, the tryout is also at no cost. If you have not attended the tryout previously, the cost will be $10. Below is a schedule for the supplemental tryouts.

Saturday 07/31/10

4:30pm-5:30pm Squirt
5:30pm-6:30pm Bantam

Sunday 08/08/10

9:00am - 10:00am Peewee
10:00am - 11:00am Midget

Hounds Hockey Day

Our annual Hounds Hockey Day is Saturday, August 14th 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Space City Ice Station.

Schedule of Events:

1:00 BAHHA Annual Meeting – Among the topics discussed will be reviewing last season, announcing new officers and plans for the upcoming season. All who have a child playing in the fall are encouraged to attend. Currently there are 15 board members. If you would like to be on the board for the upcoming season, please reply to this email.
2:50 - 3:50 Skills Competitions: fastest skater, most accurate shot, hardest shot and timed puck control
4:00 - 5:00 Parents, Players and Kids skating (no sticks) – free skate rental for those who need skates

Hounds Fundraising Golf Tournament - Sept 21

The Hounds would like to invite you to come out and play in our First Annual Hounds Hockey Cup Golf Tournament. In the spirit of Hounds Hockey, this golf day promises to be filled with friendly competition and lots of socializing!!

The event will be held at Battleground Golf Club in Deer Park, TX on Tuesday, September 21, 2010, and will be a yearly tradition that we are expecting to be highly anticipated. The tournament format is a 4-man team scramble with a 1:00 pm. shotgun start. An awards and dinner banquet will be held immediately following the tournament. Cost will be $90 for an individual player and $320 per team of four.

A round of coaching clinics will be planned for late summer.

If you are interested in coaching one of our fall teams, please complete a coaching application form and deposit the form in the BAHHA black box or give to Coach Kraft. Please contact us, if you have any questions.

Concussion Information

For those of you that could not attend the concussion seminar held earlier this month, here is some helpful information that they provided. This website was mentioned several times throughout the evening and is a valuable tool for additional information. Click HERE for the CHRISTUS St. John Concussion Center website for more information regarding their services.

Kroger Share Card Renewal

BAHHA has reenrolled in the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor program. Print out and present the attached letter with the BAHHA organization barcode to your cashier upon checkout. After they have scanned your KrogerPlus Card you will be enrolled for the current year with the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program. Every time you shop at Kroger and use your enrolled KrogerPlus Card, Kroger will contribute a percentage of your eligible purchases. You only need to show the attached letter to your cashier once to register. It is good for one year.
